Akarua's Central Otago estate vineyard and winery was established in 1996 by Sir Clifford Skeggs and is a renown New Zealand producer of pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot gris. Akarua vineyard successes include Wine of the Show at the Air New Zealand Wine Awards for the Akarua Pinot Noir 2002.
Under the experienced tenure of winemaker Matt Connell, the site continues to produce densely concentrated and flavourful expressions of Central Otago.
