Akarua's 2017 harvest comes to an end, Tue, 2 May 2017

After a warmer few months, the harvest has officially finished and just in time for another Central Otago cold snap. With morning frost on the ground, our delicious fruit is safely tucked up in the winery destined for your favorite wines. First to undergo its transformation was our sparkling wines, a careful process using a Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blend supervised by champagne and sparkling wine expert, Dr Tony Jordan. Our Pinot Noir tanks are undergoing the final presses and barreling procedures before they will be racked in the cellar. 

A big thank you to all of our hardworking vineyard and winery teams, we hope the beautiful views made those early morning just a little bit easier!
