Soil: Bony broken schist with thin covering of weakly structured sandy loam. Irrigated
Vine age: 5 years
Trellis System: 2 cane VSP
Canopy Management: Shoot thinned and leaf plucked by hand to carefully manage fruit exposure. Crop thinned to match vine vigour, approx 1.2kg/vine.

Picking date: 12th April, 2011 (2nd harvest).
Growing conditions: Windy and dry – this is the warmest of our vineyard blocks.
Grower Degree Days: 980-990
Rainfall: 281mls

VINIFICATION

Pressing: Whole bunch pressed.
Yeast: Inoculated – various strains
Fermentation temp: Cool – less than 13°

APPEARANCE

Very pale straw.

Rich stone fruit aromatics.

PALATE

Rich stone fruit and citrus notes with great balance between fruit sweetness and acidity. Long and lingering finish.
