Last day of harvest today, small picks of Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc from our Pisa Development block, everything now tucked up in the winery. Next project underway the same day!

Something new for Akarua harvest today, we are picking our organically grown Sauvignon Blanc off our newest Pisa vineyard, formally Kawarau Estate.

We are very excited to announce Akarua Pinot Noir 2015 has been awarded 5 stars and No.5 overall in Cuisine's latest Pinot Noir tasting, featured in their May edition.

First premium kolo ferment, cranking!!

Busy day in the Akarua Vineyards today, crews at Pisa, Felton Kofiua, Felton Kolo, Cairnmuir Rd C. White and Clutha, mostly Ponot Noir and the first of our barrel fermented Chardonnay

Another phase of harvesting underway this morning, Geoff from Vinetech in to helps us get a little more Rua in before the weather arrives mid week......will it arrive? Any budding forecasters out there?

Another 18 ton or so into the winery and everyone is still smiling......not a bad office either!

Where would we be without our line up of back packers vans, I am sure we see the same van back again every year or two with new owners! Young folk from around the world who turn up day in and day out and get us through our seasons. What a great job they do alongside our permanent staff. Good to see more and more vans with self contained stickers. Enjoy Akarua and NZ

With our sparkling and rose in the winery it's time to crack into our Akarua Pinot Noir. Today we are in our Kolo block, one of Akarua's vineyards on Felton Road.
