We are very excited to share the news that Akarua won two gold medals at this year's Decanter World Wine Awards in the UK. New Zealand overall showed exceptionally well and we were thrilled to see not only our own, but many other fantastic wines being recognized in such a prestigious competition. We will be celebrating with a bottle of our award winning Brut NV!

The vineyard crew farewelled our Vanuatu boys today. Thanks for all your work Reece, Serge, Alexi, Dane, Eduard and Jesse. Enjoy getting back to family and friends and we look forward to seeing you back for the start of the new season.

The Akarua crew at the 2015 Central Otago tasting this afternoon. Well done winery team, Emma, Hannah and Monica, all picked the Akarua Pinot blind from the 18 tasted, the vineyard crew obviously need to drink more to hone our palette! Lucky it's winter, I think we can achieve that!

New Zealand wines truly wowed the judges at this year's Sommelier Wine Awards in the UK and we are very proud to have been recognized with a Gold and three silvers in such a competitive category!


The cover crop that just keeps giving, first turn in to break down over the next month or so as we prep for spring planting.

Akarua are joining the Central Otago cities tour at the end of May, come along to try some of Central's best Pinot's! Tickets include a Riedel Pinot Noir glass and a platter.
