Exciting New Release, Wed, 30 November 2011
Things have been very hectic at the winery with considerable work going on behind the scenes for two new product launches. Our first release is Akarua Noir Ice 2011. A delicious dessert wine it is made from 100% Pinot Noir and packaged in a beautiful individually numbered 375ml bottle. The grapes for this wine were picked at their optimum ripeness and then blast frozen for three weeks to retain the sugar levels and lush strawberry flavours.
We only produced 190 cases of this wine and it is already proving very popular at the Akarua Cellar Door. It is available through the cellar door for $40 or $46 in its own wooden gift box. This timely release will make it a perfect Christmas gift or great for all of us who like to indulge and try something new.
Following on from the Ice Wine Akarua will be launching an exciting new range of wines in the New Year, so we will let you know all about that in early 2012!
